Web 2.0 Design and Colors Just for Kicks

Aug 21 2006

While catching up on news from this weekend, we ran across an amusing post on Web 2.0 over at TechCrunch. The post had a few links so we checked them out. The Web2.0 Logo Creator created this nice little logo for us. Isn’t it nifty?

StickiWidgets Logo

We had been kicking around the idea of updating the StickiWidgets site design anyways, so we did a quick conversion. You can view our new color scheme, inspired by the logo. In addition to the logo and Web 2.0 colors, we added Spiffy Corners to our header boxes. A Web 2.0 design just isn’t complete without rounded corners. Spiffy Corners does this all in CSS and best of all, no images needed.

The truth of the matter is that we are looking to freshen up this site, but that dev site is just for kicks and not what we are intending on doing. We were just having some fun on our break. You should kill sometime and check out the post on TechCrunch.

If anyone has any design ideas or would like to volunteer time to redesign this site let us know. Unfortunately, we can’t really compensate you, but we will be more than happy to give you credit.

Update (2006.11.15): We have removed external access to the dev site.

Update (2006.11.6): We have reverted the dev site back to the same theme as the production site.
