Google Blog Search and Grazr Equals News Widget
Derek over at Widgets Lab did a quick mashup of Google Blog Search and Grazr to give us a nice widget news widget. Basically the Google Blog Search, “widget” and “webwidget”, is provided in RSS format and fed into Grazr, an OPML/RSS feed reader. If you need to keep up-to-date on widgets then this could be a what you are looking for. Or, if you like the concept, you can create your own blog news widget in a few minutes.
Head over to Widgets Lab for more details and the functional widget.

We’ve actually got an early system for building even more dynamic mashups too! I left a comment over at WidgetLab, thought I’d leave one here too.
One of the things built into Grazr is the ability to run “programs” based on our scripting environment “GrazrScript”. With some pretty simple commands you can actually build more generic searches and mashups. We’ve got a lot of other good stuff coming as part of GrazrScript really soon now ™
.
Here’s an example using GrazrScript that does a simple search across multiple blog search services based on an input query.

Thanks for the mention!
Thanks for stopping by and it’s great to hear that Grazr continues to build out the service.
